Leeds Waterfront Festival

30 June to 01 July 2012

Both COMRADE and AMY HOWSON were invited to the Leeds Waterfront Festival but in the end, due to crewing difficulties, AMY HOWSON attended alone. A week prior to the event Alan Gardiner and Derek Chafer took AMY to Goole on the Friday evening arriving at the Yorkshire Waterways Museum at 2100 hours.

The following Friday Alan, Derek and Lisa took AMY HOWSON to Leeds, it was a long trip of about 12 hours with lots of locks to go through. Their location at the Festival was Thwaite Mills, a beautiful location which in the end turned out to be the ideal place.

On the Saturday our Chairman Dave Parker and wife Jean came over to help out for the weekend. There were plenty of visitors to both AMY and the HKSPS sales stall and well-needed funds were added to our coffers.
